Since the 19th century, a factory complex from 1858, the Spek'sche Fabrik, with its striking chimney, has been part of the Mühlhofen townscape. As early as 1872, high-quality cotton fabrics were produced in the local machine weaving mill until production was discontinued in 1963.
Since 2010, the old building of the listed industrial building, the "Alte Fabrik Mühlhofen", has been used as a cultural stage for cabaret, concerts and event dinners. The premises of the Alte Fabrik (event hall, seminar room, bar and cinema) are also available for private celebrations or company events - whether smaller meetings and celebrations for 30 people or more, dinner events or larger occasions for up to 200 people.
