The Weltspiele offers visual and freelance artists, musicians and cultural workers from Hanover and around the world a variety of creative development opportunities and collective synergies. Built as a "white cube" with the idea of concentrating light, sound and movement on the essentials. A space in which distractions are faded out to the maximum and processes can unfold freely. With the artist Friso as managing director, the project management - from the space on Weidendamm formerly used only as a club - creates a place that offers a contemporary platform for the most diverse forms of expression.
In addition to the 300 m² Mainflor, the location has a semi-covered outdoor area of 200 m², as well as two further rooms, each with a floor space of 70 m². The individual rooms can be used independently or together. Thus, the location offers the perfect space for a wide variety of events. The newly oriented club and cultural project Weltspiele was created on the site of the former Klub Weidendamm, which had been established for over nine years.
A special sound system was developed for musical events. The horn-based sound system explicitly shows its acoustic advantages with dynamic music and can reproduce significantly lower frequencies compared to modern systems, which makes the location interesting for jazz and popular music (when attending concerts as well as for the artists themselves).
Furthermore, the World Games building provides a space for a radio and recording studio as well as a live recording studio. There are also two music production studios and a record shop.
Rent can be extended beyond the indicated period upon mutual agreement.
