A private cinema for up to 20 people and a large loft in the machine hall are also available for very special events.
-The waterworks falkenstein is a listed former pumping station, which at high tide transported water from the Elbe to the 92-meter-high Baursberg into the sand filters for drinking water treatment.
-It was built in 1858/9 as a testament to British engineering and construction by York & Co. for the private Altona Gas and Water Company.
-Retained artifacts such as the large pumps , the crane and switchboard in the pump house, a locomotive, old workbenches, standing desks, machines and tools up to the original sick book tell an eloquent story.
-Since the early 60s, the water is pumped from groundwater wells, so that the ensemble could be converted into lofts, houses and studios.
