We are committed to sustainability, resilience and resource awareness and are setting a good example for others.

In September 2022, we acquired the hotel building and began renovating and modernization measures.

Our architect Andrea Schmidt is also a sustainability coordinator according to BNB. Together with a partner, they are currently drawing up an environmental balance sheet for the Unsereins so that further renovation measures can be planned and implemented accordingly.

It is important to consider how the building can be free of fossil fuels in the long term.

Even if it may take some time before the building is fully restored to its former glory, we value ecology and short delivery routes in every project.

We love upcycling. This means that we use old materials and equipment and reuse them elsewhere. In this way, we not only reduce waste, but also create an attractive symbiosis of old and modern architecture.

We also took part in a research project on food waste with the support of the Federal Ministry of Economics. We primarily buy seasonal products from regional suppliers. In this way, we ensure short delivery routes, less packaging waste and support our local food supplies at the same time.

For a holistic approach to the circular economy, we use recyclable materials as far as possible, which can be reused in a biological or technical cycle after use.

We also buy a lot of things second-hand, thereby conserving resources that others would otherwise have to throw away and saving our wallets. We give away or sell things that we no longer need to colleagues and people who can make good use of them.
