The Schloßtheater was opened as early as 1953, making it the oldest cinema in Münster. Here you can expect a programme of demanding and entertaining European films and a variety of exciting special programmes with classics, film art and highlights of the cultural scene. It is not without reason that the cinema is awarded every year by the state and federal governments for its outstanding programme. The 3 cinema halls have 441 seats and are equipped with 2K projectors and Dolby Digital sound.
The café offers a varied gastronomic menu in a cosy ambience. There is a compact menu with small dishes, but also weekly or seasonally changing offers such as soups, quiches and cakes. Here we work primarily with regional partners. And to ensure that the residents of the Kreuzviertel continue to enjoy simply popping in for a coffee, a new barista machine shines behind the counter.
We will continue to organise a variety of different events around our cinema programme in the future: In addition to specials that emphasise the interplay between good films and culinary delights, such as the Film Café and the Vino Preview , there will always be other innovations such as gin or coffee tastings.
