Dresden Residential Palace

The Residenzschloss, once one of the most magnificent and important Renaissance palaces in Germany, is located right in the heart of the Old Town. It is also the place of origin and still the centre of the Dresden State Art Collections. A large part of the collections united in the museum association can be traced back to the Kunstkammer of the Saxon electors and kings who once lived here.
