Whether press conference, product presentation or party event - the mumok offers the right location for your event. In contemporary architecture in the historic centre of Vienna, we rent out rooms for your event from 20 to 540 people. Our rooms are multifunctional and can be individually customised.
mumok Hofstallung
The 370 m² ground-floor hall in the oval wing of the historic building complex has been specially designed to meet the requirements of modern event organisation. All technical requirements have been taken into account and realised. The painting by Otto Zitko on the arched ceiling and the original marble troughs in the light of the chandeliers by Joseph Zehrer form the perfect synthesis between the old and the modern.
mumok Lounge
The lounge is a bright, transparent space with a unique view of the current exhibition in the Kuppelsaal and a sophisticated setting for gala dinners as well as lectures and symposia. The lounge is located on the top level and, with an area of 172 m², is one of the most attractive rooms in the museum.
mumok cinema
The mumok cinema was planned and realised by the Austrian artist Heimo Zobernig together with the architect Michael Wallraff. The cinema has 110 seats and, with its excellent projection options ranging from Super 8, 16 and 35 mm to the latest digital technology, offers a cinema hall that fulfils all cinematographic requirements. The cinema can also be used for lectures and seminars. A foyer connected to the cinema, which can be separated from the museum, with a grandstand and a bar offers space for a relaxed get-together.
Evening tours & workshops
Invite your guests to an exclusive evening tour of the mumok followed by a champagne reception or dinner. Our 130 m² studio offers you the opportunity to give free rein to your creativity, accompanied and guided by artists.
As an institution, mumok sees it as its duty to work towards a sustainable future and to contribute to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. The focus is primarily on urgent measures for climate protection and the promotion of high-quality, equal education.
Since its foundation, mumok has pursued a special educational policy mission and is currently based on four central pillars: Teaching digital skills as a tool for the future, inclusion and empowerment of people of all backgrounds, combating access barriers at different levels and sustainable knowledge transfer. The education and exhibition programme addresses current socio-political issues and puts them up for discussion.
In recent years, mumok has made a special effort to introduce important climate protection measures and reduce the museum's ecological footprint. As part of a comprehensive action plan, resource consumption is being optimised and a sustainable purchasing policy is being promoted.
For mumok, sustainability is an ongoing process that we are pursuing with the utmost commitment now and in the future.
The mumok would like to encourage all visitors to travel by public transport. Thanks to its central location in Vienna's MuseumsQuartier, this is very easy with Wiener Linien.
mumok was once again successfully recognised as a Viennese EcoBusiness in 2024.
The mumok is certified with the Austrian Ecolabel and is therefore a Green Location, and is also certified for Green Events and Green Meetings.
