The Maßstabwerk is part of a 13,000 square meter industrial complex in the center of Schweina, which is now owned by the LandCampus Foundation and will be developed into a lively rural quarter in the coming years. It was built in 1927 and the extension in 1933 in the Bauhaus style and was primarily built for the production of rulers, i.e. folding rules for export worldwide. The architect of the Maßstabwerk was none other than the Meiningen court architect Karl Behlert, who was one of the busiest architects of his time and built, for example, the Meiningen court theater, the building of the Meiningen Masonic lodge "Charlotte zu den drei Nelken" or the former eye clinic "Herzogin Charlotte" in Bad Liebenstein. The architecture of the Maßstabwerk was influenced by the Bauhaus style and is a listed building.
The Maßstabwerk is available to you in many ways: as a coworking space, as an exclusive wedding location, as a photo location, as a film location, for events of all kinds including corporate events or as an inspiring conference room.
