The army bakery in Berlin Kreuzberg is an impressive industrial monument on the River Spree. The warehouse in the west wing was used as a storehouse from 1890, with lorries carrying flour and grain running on rails between the warehouse and the bakery. The brick building has retained its substance over the years. Cast iron columns support a five metre high capped ceiling, the parquet flooring is made of old copper beech, deep arched windows open the room to the light. We have refurbished the magazine in
awareness of its history and upgraded its furnishings. The result is a magnificent room with a good dose of charm - perhaps the most beautiful in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The Magazin in the Heeresbäckerei stands for events with their finger on the pulse of the good old days.
