Built in the 14th century in the lowlands of an old trade route, the castle served for a long time as a mill, chapel and residence of nobles. The castle was redesigned in the 18th century in the baroque style. In the 20th century the castle chapel and the farm building were demolished. The main castle is adorned by oak trees more than 300 years old and is surrounded by a wide moat.
Our main castle offers you only one of many event locations on our premises. The small castle garden in the south of the main castle and the peninsula, where the chapel used to stand, offer as much space as the forecourt of our main castle. Another possibility to plan your event in the open air is the former baroque garden, which offers enough space for larger events.
Our main castle extends over 3 levels. Up to 72 people can dine in the cross vault. On the ground floor there is a large foyer, our lounge bar and the knights' hall, which can hold 80 to 120 people depending on seating. On the upper floor couples can get married in a cosy atmosphere. Furthermore, our premises can be used for seminars and conferences, depending on their size.
