Kurhessisches Diakonissenhaus Kassel

The Kassel motherhouse at Goethestrasse 85 is the home of the Kassel diaconate. For more than 150 years, it was the centre of the community of faith, life and service. Today, it is still home to 14 deaconesses who live in the neighbourhood and in the nursing homes. The term motherhouse symbolically refers to the parent house of a deaconesshood, in this case the place of origin of the Protestant sisterhood in Kassel.
