Historic backdrop and great transport links
The Kulturküche is located in the oldest multi-storey building in Karlsruhe city centre, built in 1723. With its many original components, the old ropemaker's cottage shows the structural development, gives an insight into the building physics of the time and conveys the impression of a 300-year-old residential and commercial building.
The old Seilerhaus in the immediate vicinity of Kronenplatz and Durlacher Tor has excellent transport links. The seminar room is easily accessible by bike, public transport, train or car.
What else our Kulturküche has to offer

Flexible room utilisation thanks to modern lighting and sound concept throughout the building
The Kulturküche focusses on organic quality, regional sourcing and fair trade in order to ensure healthy, climate-friendly and, above all, particularly tasty food. Sustainable activities and hands-on offers, the processing of regional and seasonal organic food and the ongoing development of the sustainability concept are intended to create awareness among citizens of their own opportunities for action and to create a place where the key cogs of a desirable society, such as civic participation and the sustainable use of resources, interlock.
When it comes to interior design and kitchen equipment, the Kulturküche pays attention to the use of sustainable, renewable raw materials and materials as well as the conservation of resources and the minimisation of the CO2 footprint. For us, the best possible implementation of sustainability is an ongoing process in which environmental protection and resource conservation must not lead to stagnation.
