Venerable industrial culture meets modern event location. 2 halls, 4 workspaces, smokers lounge, 3 kitchens, 4 organisation offices, 8 cloakrooms provide for the most diverse event formats from 5-person workshops to concerts for up to 1600 guests to trade fairs.
The motor transport hall was built in 1960 and provided a roof over the rear and hood of local transport buses. The unique roof construction is a listed building in terms of architecture & construction. Last but not least, the VEB Kraftverkehr was considered the largest cantilevered hall in the GDR. Entrepreneur Andreas Wöllenstein took over the area many years ago, so that the hall served as a transporter and truck workshop.
After the relocation of the truck workshop and the construction of the new transporter workshop, the first plans for the conversion into a congress and event hall were made. Under the direction of Andreas Wöllenstein, the motor transport was extensively renovated in 2017 without losing any of its special industrial charm. The newly created Chemnitz Culture and Congress Centre offers a unique event location for creative and classic event concepts.
