ECOLOGICAL REQUIREMENTS
Protecting the environment and using energy and natural resources sparingly is a matter of course for us at the Hyatt Regency Mainz. More than 80% of the lighting in our hotel is generated by energy-efficient LED lamps; motion detectors are installed in the outdoor areas. All guest rooms have energy-saving switches and an automatic switch-off function for the heating/air conditioning when the window is open. Water flow limiters to save drinking water are installed in the public areas as well as in the guest bathrooms. We obtain district heating from waste incineration. Hot water is heated particularly efficiently using cascade heating. Waste is separated and recycled. The hotel uses environmentally friendly, natural care products and cleaning agents. Our commitment to hygiene and safety has been honoured with the GBAC seal (Global Biorisk Advisory Council). When purchasing textiles such as towels, bed linen and table linen, we pay attention to their sustainable production. In cooperation with the non-profit start-up Project Wings, we offer our guests the option of waiving room cleaning for stays of two nights or more. The monetary value of the resources saved in this way (water, CO2, electricity and cleaning agents) is donated to Project Wings, which uses the money to build a village from recycled plastic waste (so-called Ecobricks) in Indonesia or to maintain orchards as biodiversity hotspots in Germany
Rental period is freely negotiable
