Habibi & Hawara was the first restaurant by refugees for Austrians in the centre of Vienna. We serve oriental hospitality spiced up with Viennese charm, regional products refined with ingredients from all parts of the Middle East, savoury delicacies from Hawara and refined delicacies from Habibi.
In concrete terms, this means enjoying Austrian-Oriental fusion cuisine seven days a week: at lunchtime at the extensive lunch buffet, in the evening at the one & only Austrian Oriental Family Dinner Set Menu, as catering for small and large parties, as take-away in reusable crockery. Because flavour knows no boundaries.

Habibi & Hawara is not just a restaurant, but also functions as an event location with outdoor areas. Whether for corporate events, Christmas parties or private celebrations, (almost) anything is possible here!
Our guests can hire the restaurant exclusively and the best thing is that there is NO room hire charge!
The seating can be chosen individually, the competent event management team will be happy to advise you on what would suit YOUR event best. Individuality and professionalism are very important here.
Habibi & Hawara has the option of creating adjoining rooms for you in the same building, so you can hold your meeting or workshop and after a long day take a few steps into the restaurant to round off your event with home-made drinks and healthy finger food.
HABIBI & HAWARA LANDSTRASSE
Habibi & Hawara Landstrasse is located directly in the charming Rochus district, nestled in an architecturally exceptional building on Platz der Sozialen Sicherheit. Our restaurant offers space for around 100 guests in the spacious indoor area and around 50 guests in the inviting guest garden.
Our restaurant also boasts barrier-free access, a wheelchair-accessible toilet, a nappy-changing table and air conditioning.
Sustainability
What sustainability initiatives does the venue implement?
Habibi & Hawara is actively committed to social and ecological sustainability.
In the social sphere, the company originally gave people with a history of flight and migration access to jobs and training positions, but now offers this to a wider range of people with a wide variety of special backgrounds.
In an ecological context, Habibi & Hawara pursues resource-conserving production and integrates measures to reduce food waste into its mission. Habibi & Hawara offers a zero waste plate and works closely with suppliers to save surplus goods.
Habibi & Hawara also offers its customers inexpensive lunch plates and uses plastic-free take-away boxes to help reduce plastic waste.
