WELCOME TO GARAGE229
History meets zeitgeist
On an area of 2,000 square metres, Garage 229 creates a unique combination of past and present.
Built in 1937 by engineer and automotive pioneer Hans Erhardt, the former car workshop and paint shop is now an extraordinary event location for exhibitions, workshops, photo shoots and corporate events.
Where you used to hear the roar of engines and machines, now, almost a century later, a meeting place has been created - as stylish as it is in love with detail, at the same time rough, with corners, edges and an authentic patina.
Industrial meets Art Déco
The light-flooded hall with its various rooms and areas extends over two floors. Whether at the open bar or in the spacious outdoor area - the industrial atmosphere can be felt everywhere.
A collection of memories is also part of the character of the setting:
Our valuable treasures such as vintage cars, decorative elements with an automotive connection and accessories with history are all unique. Together with the architecture of the historic hall, it is these unique pieces that give Garage 229 its charm.
For this reason, we value a careful and respectful approach to the building and its furnishings. In this way, together we can preserve the uniqueness of this venerable industrial monument and maintain its value into the future.
