The former taz Café at Check Point Charlie in the old newspaper district has an industrial charm: five metre high ceilings, a completely glass façade, plenty of day and night light and a steel gallery accessible via the internal staircase. Shop-window-sized mirrors on the ceiling and sides reflect the surroundings and give the location an urban ambience.
The location has been refurnished and stylistic elements by architect Gerhard Spangenberg have been incorporated. Now its use has been extended to include what is probably the most important time of day, when the location really begins to shine: the evening. Fragile, like the mirrors on the ceiling and royally equipped with LED light art and first-class sound.
Early birds come here for a coffee in the morning, people meet here for lunch at lunchtime: but it is only in the evening hours that a fascinating, multi-faceted play of colourful reflections develops: The perfect setting for your event.
