Located directly on the emerald green Achensee, Pertisau is embedded in the rugged mountains of the Karwendel nature reserve at 952 m above sea level. From the village itself three wooded valleys and alpine pastures reach only gently ascending far into the mountains. The valley headlands form steeply rising two thousand metre peaks. We use the Gramai-Alm - spectacularly situated at the foot of a 700m high rock face - for rustic evening events with up to 500 people.
Since the middle of the 19th century, tourism has developed in this picturesque village on Lake Achensee. Pertisau is the starting point and destination of Achensee shipping, which has existed since 1887. This can also be reached with the steam-powered Achenseebahn, 2km south of Pertisau.
