What sustainability initiatives does the venue implement?
HOTEL PARK SOLTAU GmbH has successfully completed the DNK sustainability report and has been certified accordingly. This is an important step in our continuous endeavours to improve our environmental footprint and provide our guests with a sustainable stay.
One outstanding result of these efforts is the significant reduction in our carbon footprint. Compared to 2022, when CO₂ emissions per overnight stay were 23.38 kg, we were able to reduce this figure to 21.31 kg of CO₂ per overnight stay in 2023. This corresponds to a reduction of over 8.8%.
This improvement is the result of targeted measures to increase energy efficiency and implement environmentally friendly practices in all areas of our hotel. These include optimising the heating and cooling systems, increasing the use of renewable energy and raising awareness of environmentally conscious behaviour among our employees and guests.
We are proud of this development and see it as confirmation of our sustainable approach. We will continue our commitment to the environment and the continuous improvement of our carbon footprint in the future.
