The CAP SAN DIEGO is the largest seaworthy museum cargo ship in the world. Her elegant silhouette is as much a part of Hamburg's harbour panorama as the Speicherstadt and the Michel.
The CAP SAN DIEGO is not only a living museum ship, it also offers a beautiful setting for company and private celebrations, seminars and lectures, as well as cultural events on deck, in the salons, in hatches 4 and 3, on the pool deck or in the bistro.
Salon
The saloon, originally preserved in the style of the 1960s, is the elegant gem on board: the CAP SAN DIEGO's dining room, library and bar offer an exclusive setting for around 60 people for your company and private celebrations, seminars, lectures, presentations and much more.
Pool deck
The pool deck, formerly reserved for passengers, is now an ideal place to relax and celebrate for up to 130 people with a view over Hamburg harbour. The pool gives revellers the special feeling of a cruise.
Hatch 3
The large cargo hold for impressive events on 3 levels for 1,000 guests. Deep in the belly of the ship you have pure maritime flair. All three decks of hatch 3 are equipped with modern bar technology. The built-in lighting and sound systems leave nothing to be desired - and if it should get a little louder, nobody on the ship or around it will be disturbed. In summer, you can celebrate with the roof open.
Hatch 4
The charm of a cargo hold for trade fairs, exhibitions and medium-sized events for up to 140 guests. Here you can also open the hatch cover and enjoy balmy summer nights.
Bistro
The on-board bistro was refurbished in 2020 and can now be hired exclusively for your event. The large portholes offer a fantastic view of the harbour promenade and another Hamburg landmark, the Michel.
