The community centre was built in 1992 and is run by Haus für Horrem e.V. on behalf of the city of Dormagen.
The house is built over three floors: In the basement, besides the technical rooms, there are the toilets (ladies, disabled and men's toilets) as well as a shooting range of the Horrem shooting fraternity. On the ground floor there is a spacious glass foyer, the kitchen and the hall. On the first floor there is a gallery above the foyer and a gallery above the hall. The floors are connected by stairs and a passenger lift.
The hall is suitable for celebrations from 80 persons up to a maximum of 350 persons. A stage of up to 36m² can be erected. The chairs/tables are sufficient for 250 people. A professional sound system with ceiling beamer is available as well as a ventilation system. The bar system is sufficient for even the largest rush of guests.
The foyer and gallery are generously enclosed with glass and offer an appealing ambience for a festive event.
The kitchen is part of the hall. A professional electric cooker with ceramic hob and convection oven looks forward to your baking and cooking skills. Optionally, you can also use the commercial dishwasher, which cleans a layer of dishes in 2 minutes. The 700-litre refrigerator has plenty of space and is designed for Gastronorm containers (GN 2/1). Crockery and cutlery for up to 250 people as well as gastro coffee machines are available by arrangement.
The spacious basement in the Bürgerhaus is also available for your celebration. There you will find access to the ladies', gents' and disabled toilets as well as to the air rifle shooting range of the Horremer Schützenbruderschaft. The basement is accessible by lift.
Many guests store their cloakroom there, for example.
