The centrepiece of our restaurant ship is the "Alster III", the long-standing flagship of the "white fleet". Commissioned in 1930, decommissioned in 1962, it moored at Ballindamm in 1989 as the "Galatea" restaurant.
Now a team led by operations manager Florian Kretschmer & head chef John Iskaev has set about putting the ship on a new culinary course. The focus is on excellent sushi & steak specialities from some of the best suppliers in the world. For example:
"Rungis express" from Metzgers
"Stockyard" Australia: We have the highest marbling category (Mbs 9+) outside Japan on the menu as Kiwami
"Creekstone" farm, Kansas is our direct supplier for the best US meat
"Miyazaki A5" is our Japanese meat.
"Lerch" is our main supplier of fish and seafood for our sushi creations
Of course, these delicacies are accompanied by exquisite side dishes, personalised advice and a selection of exquisite wines from our sommelier.
The Bootshaus Alster not only invites you with excellent food, but also with a new, discreet ambience on our pontoon. Depending on the weather, we can cover or open our pontoon terrace, even when the restaurant is open.
Rental period is freely negotiable
