Partying at Beate Uwe feels like you've just landed in the middle of a birthday party in your neighbourhood pub. Beate Uwe is a small club and warm-up place for party nights for old and new friends. Most recently, there was a Vietnamese karaoke bar here. The whole weekend is reserved for electronic music, only at special events do they sometimes stray into hip hop or the like.

The location is only recognisable at second glance. This pearl is located in the middle of a high-rise area near Alexanderplatz. The club can boast of being a small cosy oasis with nice staff, which is rather rare in the Berlin club scene. Actually, the cosier twin of the Golden Gate. The two places should have a guest exchange agreement. In the club itself you can expect a floor and a chill-out room in 70s style.

BEATE UWE was founded in 2014 by Javid Ansar and Sam Öncel. In the 2000s, both became known for their alternative electro and minimal underground parties "Lovelounge", which the interested person only heard about by hearsay. A Miss Kittin and a Sven Marquadt were always there back then, but rather unknown...so all this still happened in the times before Berghain and Facebook. It's part of Javid's nature not to worry about trends, but just to follow his feeling. With the club near Jannowitzbrücke in Schillingstraße, you can still find exactly what Berlin has become increasingly famous for since the 1990s: A we-atmosphere with the finest electronic music far away from tourist secret tips.
