Balthasar Ress Weinbar in Wiesbaden

Balthasar Ress was a passionate host. His descendant Christian Ress also possesses this gene and has long dreamed of his own wine bar under the name of the winery. In 2013, an opportunity arose for implementation in a listed building in Mauergasse in Wiesbaden, and the concept that had been developed in the meantime was taken out of the drawer.

Since its opening in April 2013, the then first Balthasar Ress Weinbar & Vinothek has enriched Wiesbaden's city center. Located at Mauergasse 10, in the middle of the pedestrian zone of the Hessian capital, it is considered the first wine bar on the street and has since become a permanent meeting place for connoisseurs in the Hessian capital.

The wine bar is also available as an event location for closed events against agreement of a minimum turnover. Moderated wine tastings are held for a flat fee (also parallel to the normal bar operation). For all events where a "bar atmosphere" is desired, the Balthasar Ress Weinbar & Vinothek offers a solution for a maximum of 35 guests in a prime downtown location, convenient accessibility (also by public transportation) and nearby parking.
