Axatorp is a four-length, enclosed Scanian farm from the 1750s.
The farm is an oasis in the middle of the fields, undisturbed and with the sea on the horizon. But the pulse is right next door - only 10 minutes to Trelleborg, 25 minutes to Malmö / Copenhagen and 40 minutes to Ystad.
Fortunately, the farm has escaped renovation and is preserved with retained atmosphere and style. The way of building, the exterior/interior and the many details testify to a bygone era. It is genuine and simple - thatched roofs on all wings, half-timbering, whitewashed walls, mullioned windows, doors as they were in the past, cobblestones, vegetation.
We rent out the south, east and parts of the north wing for weddings/parties/conferences and meetings and run a small B&B with four rooms.
It is primarily the business parts we intend to rent out. It is the Lodge of about 80 sqm, with wooden floors, lime walls and 6 metres to the ceiling. The stable, about 80 sqm with partially preserved stable interior and catering kitchen. There are a couple of halls with facilities. Upstairs on Höskullen we have three double rooms, bathrooms and a large lounge. The fourth room, a slightly larger Stable Room is on the ground floor with its own entrance/bathroom.
In the north wing, you can use the Vedboden (approx. 20 sqm) which really shows how they built in the past with visible thatched construction, half-timbering and clay walls.
The outdoor environments consist of a graveled field to the south, a lawn framed with willows and a grove to the east and a charming courtyard. We have two Icelandic horses so the horse paddock may also be available.
The private residence is in a lane and is a bit special. A fireplace with a stove, only whitewashed walls, wooden floors, a little low in the ceiling but high thresholds:). In the old hall, which is a bedroom today, there are preserved old chalk murals from the early 19th century. A little curious about Axatorp is that the episode "Bessinge murder" in the series "Skånska mord" was filmed here.
A warm welcome to us!
