The Alte Rotation owes its name to the fact that it once housed the printing works of the Münchner Merkur and tz newspapers and was used to print newspapers on so-called rotary presses. The hall was then completely remodelled and used as a television studio, among other things, before it was finally renovated again and equipped with the latest event technology. Since then, the Alte Rotation has been a popular event location in the heart of Munich for a variety of different events.
