The Alte Rader Schule is located in Tangstedt, not far from the north-eastern border of Hamburg. We offer our guests fresh country-style cuisine with high-quality food, cater for celebrations for up to 100 people indoors and 250 people outdoors and organise a variety of cultural events.
The old village school in Tangstedt was founded in 1890 and used as a school for over 60 years. In 1979, an attentive businessman recognised the "Ameisenweg" on the doorstep and converted the former farmhouse into a village pub. That was the birth of the Alte Rader Schule as a catering establishment!
Out of love for our homeland, we prefer to spoil our guests with regional specialities and suppliers who produce responsibly, environmentally friendly and sustainably and whose animals are kept in a species-appropriate manner.
For smaller parties of up to 34 people, we are happy to serve you a classic menu or our popular "table setting", where the starters and side dishes are placed in the centre of the table, true to the motto of the Italian extended family. For exclusive parties or celebrations for 35 people or more, we organise our buffets and BBQs.
